Hi! My name is Andrea and I have a passion for maintaining a fun-filled, energetic and adventurous life!

I spent many years of my life struggling with being overweight and being insecure about my body. I've always been interested in fitness, but my real passion was sparked in the beginning of 2011, when I was 29 years old. I knew 30 was approaching fast, and I knew I was not happy. I had experienced many unexpected life altering situations and had let myself go. I was depressed. I was 50 lbs overweight, and I knew I needed a change. I couldn't understand how I let myself get here....AGAIN.

In January 2011 I began working out and eating right; this time for life. I did it the right way; the healthy and slow way. Typically, quick results will only get you one place - right back where you started. Why? Time will go by and you'll stop those crazy diets and unrealistically intense workouts. You'll realize that working out six days a week is too much for your life. You won't know how to eat right, because you've been following some crash diet plan without knowing what you are putting in your body or why. You'll soon realize all your clothes don't fit again, and will be asking yourself, "what happened?"

Losing weight at a healthy rate allows your body to maximize your results. We are transforming a body, not cutting slices off a cake. I didn't wake up one day with 50 extra pounds. It was a gradual process. When we lose weight, it needs to come off the same way. In addition to wanting to eat right and loose weight, we also have to be proactive in ensuring that we keep it that way. Instead of just dieting and working out, we need to find ways to create a more active lifestyle and find healthier ways to prepare the foods we love. Otherwise, we treat it like a "phase." Phases end. Tapping into an active and adventurous life will also make you realize you have more energy if you eat in a healthier manner. I do not believe in "Free Days." I eat ice cream, pizza, and all those other things we love but think we can't have if we want to live a fit and healthy life. When you make these type of changes in your life, you won't want to fill up on the bad stuff, because it will slow you down. Keep moving.

Let's face it. Not all of us have a passion for body building or athletics. We all don't "want" to eat celery sticks and drink protein shakes on a daily basis. We want to live our life to enjoy it, and eat and drink what we want. Here's the answer. You can have the best of both worlds. Your goals should be focused on finding a comfortable "you" that fits into the life you really want. If we can also spice up your life a little more by increasing your activity level and taste for adventure...I promise you will not regret it. Do it now while you are young enough to realize what you've been missing out on. While you still have a million miles on those feet of yours. No one will ever complain when they are 80 years old about how they should have spent more time on the couch. When I'm 80, I want to look back and have a thousand adventures to talk and laugh about. I want to enjoy the world with the people I love, doing things that will make me feel amazing and energized from day to day.

I have maintained a healthy weight for years by doing just this. It does take dedication and regimen. It does require change. The key is making fitness and physical activity part of your life, just as every other thing you enjoy fits in place. It doesn't have to be a chore. It doesn't have to be something you hate. I began my personal training business in 2012. I am really excited to be participating in many fitness workshops each year in order to expand my knowledge. I want to help people figure out what makes them tick when it comes to physical activities, as well as provide motivation, support, and accountability in order to succeed.
